Kathie is an Associate Professor of Finance at Westfield State College. She holds a BS in Finance, and an MBA from the University of Lowell, an MLS in Library Science from Simmons College, and a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She has worked in commodities research, portfolio management, and the banking field. Her publications have appeared in Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes and Journal of Financial and Strategic Decisions and she has been a reviewer for Decision Sciences and the Journal of Financial Education. Her current research interests include managerial decision making, effective pedagogical development in web-based environments, and the integration of quantitative, computer-based techniques into classroom learning.

Kathie enjoys reading, collecting interesting recipes, and getting outdoors as much as possible. She especially likes to travel to Australia, and loves its distinctive culture, environment, and wildlife.
